Many children around the world do not live with their parents or lack parental care. In Mauritius, like elsewhere, many are abandoned by their families and are often placed in shelters.
The Foyer Père Laval is one of those centres which provide shelter to these children. They receive care and basic needs and have access to education.
The Mauritius Telecom Foundation was not insensitive to this situation. With the aim of eradicating inequality so that all children can have access to education, the MTF wanted to help the shelter. Thus, some school supplies such as copybooks and school bags were distributed to the children at Foyer Père Laval on Saturday 6th March 2021.
The event took place in the presence of Mr Jean Daniel Henry and Mr Bashir Mahamode.
